Our Campaigns
At the NUT we're committed to fighting all forms of prejudice. Our main campaigns are summarised below. Members are able to request campaigns during our General Meetings.
Twinks are for life
Our current headline campaign is fighting the objectification often faced by twinks within the LGBTQ community. We're calling on everyone to recognise that twinks are for life, not just for Grindr, and to respect that twinks have feelings and value as people outside of the bedroom.
Against misogyny and internalised homophobia
A lot of the prejudice that twinks face from within the LGBTQ community comes from misogyny and internalised homophobia, such as twinks being 'too feminine' or not 'manly enough'. We're fighting these stereotypes for a society where everyone is free to be themselves, regardless of how they act or are perceived by others.
